Supermicro SYS 5019C MR CPU And Memory

Supermicro updated its servers with the new Intel Xeon E-2200 Series for Servers. The company’s platforms from the Xeon E-2100 series can be updated to support the newest processor series with a BIOS upgrade. For those that already utilize the Xeon E ecosystem, this means that one can access the new 8-core CPUs such as the Intel Xeon E-2288G we reviewed. Adding two cores, or 33% to the total core count and hitting up to 5GHz on the CPU’s clock speeds is a significant improvement. In our launch coverage, we noted that these new 8-core CPUs now can attack the lower-end of the Intel Xeon Scalable market. They will be especially popular in the dedicated hosting market and some edge deployments. Intel Xeon E5
