This is our signature training course. It is a program designed for people beginning to learn about information technology and does not require any prior skills. The course provides current and comprehensive information on computer components and assembly, laptops and mobile devices, operating systems and application software, small networks and wireless communication, printers and scanners, safety and information security, environmental protection and communication skills.

The course program will give the student a comprehensive overview of the entire field of information technology, and help him or her understand the professional direction in which to develop further:

  • computer hardware repair and maintenance technician,
  • assistant system administrator,
  • technical support service engineer,
  • sales manager of computer equipment,
  • computer or network engineer.

Upon completion of the training, you will be able to:

  • Define information technology and describe components of a personal computer,
  • follow safety procedures, protect equipment from damage, data from loss, and the environment from contamination,
  • perform step-by-step assembly and setup of a desktop computer,
  • explain the purpose of preventive maintenance,
  • install and upgrade operating systems and programs,
  • remove and replace components of a laptop computer, printer, and scanner according to user needs,
  • troubleshoot hardware and software problems,
  • perform diagnostics using system tools and diagnostic software,
  • connect to the Internet and share resources in a networked environment.

The training technology includes:

  • access to proprietary learning materials (lectures, practical assignments, self-check materials, control tests, communication service with the teacher) in the distance learning system,
  • individual training schedule without disrupting the daily work/study,
  • online consultations of a personal trainer – certified instructor – during the entire period of training,
  • access to additional materials to prepare for the certification exam. The exam itself is not part of the course syllabus and is voluntary.
